halloween shows this weekend!!!

as usual there are a ton of shows going on this halloween weekend. the main one i am looking forward to is pat's in the flats annual halloween show featuring the return of machine go boom. MGB just finished an eastcoast tour and has been playing new material from their upcoming CD. also on the bill is houseguest neo nothing and a revamped "kill shawns head" lineup, rumor has it that KSH is now carrieless:(.
the show is free for those wearing costumes and 5 dollars for those that do not.
also:
friday 28th
the CID space on 9707 lorain ave. has "indian jewelery" a band from LA that was formerly known as "NTX electric". i had a chance to see this band several times and they put on an awesome show. performing with IJ is locals blktygr a band that is led by rafeeq of "viva libre books & music" & michael falling of fuzzhead, mystery of two is also playing, sweet.. (BYOB)

saturday 29: has a early (BYOB) show (6-9pm) that has established cleveland bands doing covers of "major acts". roue will be performing nirvana, theodore vril will be "black sabbath", neil blender will be doing the songs of neil young and tall pines as flaming lips and upstab as reagan youth. after this show everyone will be going down to pat's for the halloween "show of shows".

saturday 29: 9pm has the aforementioned pat's annual halloween show starring machine go boom and others (see above). ask me about the "after-party..

saturday 29: late show at the * gallery with sounder & this moment in black history.

sunday 30: after-after party at 6:30 am at the rowley inn willl have four bands rocking in the wee hours.

sunday 30: at pat's in the flats. steve barrett's halloween bash has the armenian dance ensemble, colorforms, kong sauce and ohm's law. games and treats for everyone, cost is 7 bucks w/o a costume or free with.

monday 31: cleveland legends the dead boy's play the beachland ballroom!

Damn. There are so many parties that night. I moved to Tremont last year at Halloween time and I remember getting invited onto some stranger's porch while I stumbled my way home in my mummy costume.
