daniel higgs performance in tremont

michael of the college radio show "radio dystopia" played a portion [18:42] of the daniel higgs performance at asterisk gallery in tremont a month ago and ted flynn recorded the show on a portable digital recorder. i ripped the recording via WRUW's archived MP3 of radio dystopia via mp3mymp3.com's free software. the song is "love is love" from higgs band 'lungfish' same titled 2003 album.

anyone that was at asterisk gallery this evening will tell you what an awesome [last minute] show it was. my photos are here, the link below is a 64kbs MP3 recorded from the WRUW archive of last show [052407] of radio dystopia [setlist/last show MP3]. the recording starts with michael introducing song.

i find the best way to play MP3 links on the web if one wants to instantly play the file as it downloads is to copy said link and opening it as "open URL" in their media player of choice [winamp, WMP, itunes].

flickrvision.com is the creation by david troy, the website has newly uploaded flickr photos appear over a google map in real time.
flickrvision is very addictive, not unlike the human clock where you may find yourself staring at it for long streches at a time.

another addictive website is cat arrow-golf, where you control a cat with a bow and arrow as you try to hit the target in as little as tries that are neccesary. that site is in chinese but the game is flash w/english.

my shared items

some of you may have noticed the new addition i've placed in my sidebar. i'm talking about the "shared post module". google feed reader which i highly recommend to anyone that reads many blogs, allows users to share posts from others in their feed burner and has a module available to place on your blog/website.
right now i'm testing the module out but i'm pretty sure that i may just keep it there.

for those of you that ride a bike and feel left out of the "don't buy gas day", i have created the "don't oil your bicycle day" that will take place on may 16, 2007.
i hope you join us as we "stick it to the man" on this day by not oiling your chain, crank or any other part of your bike.
