lou's icicled tea

those who know me know i love my ice tea and enjoy it year round including these days that are in the single digits.
for those winter months i take advantage of 'natures icebox' and make my patented 'icicled tea', i have the recipe below for those that enjoy the pleasures of summer in the middle of the winter.

1. 2 quarts of water.
2. 3 tea bags
3. 2 handfuls of sugar
4. a couple fair size icicles.
5. kool-aid pink lemonade mix

after brewing tea, allow to cool on your porch [or in my case, balcony]. after tea cools add the sugar, i like mine fairly sweet so i add the equivalent of two handfuls of the white magic.
now you need to harvest the icicles. for me this means opening the kitchen window and grabbing a couple off the windowsill. if you pulled a nice size one off you can also use that icicle for stirring the brew, after most the sugar dissolves add yhose icicles and lemon or kool-aid pink lemonade mix [what i usually use], you just need a small amount which is about a spoonful or so.
you may need to stir this up again because the kool-aid mix likes to float on the tea, if your icicle stirrer has melted you may need to use a big spoon or large butter knife.

enjoy your winter brew!

ps: for those of you that have a hard time following professional recipe directions i may post a how-to video in the future to make things easier..

I always wondered what kind of "kool-aid" you're drinking.
Just kidding:)
